Resilience

Don’t be afraid.
This pain is a doorway 
cracking open,
a thousand wildflowers 
pushing their way 
through the asphalt.

This poem appeared in December 2020 at the Lyon Village shopping Center in Arlington County as part of our Visual Verse project.
